Cat grooming prices in Kidderminster

Everything I offer and what it costs. These are guide prices rather than fixed figures, and I’ll always tell you what your cat’s groom will come to before I start.

I hold an iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Cat Grooming and Salon Management, I’m a feline first aider, and I’m fully insured.

Every groom includes

  • A nail trim
  • Ears and eyes cleaned
  • A hygiene clip if it’s needed

No extra charge for any of it. It’s part of the groom.

De-shed grooms

The everyday groom: a thorough de-shed, plus a nail trim, ear and eye clean and hygiene tidy.

Short-haired cats shed more than most people expect. There’s often a surprising amount of loose undercoat sitting in a short coat, and getting it out makes a real difference to how comfortable they are.

Small mat removal is included in every de-shed – no extra charge.

  • Short hair

    £25

  • Short to medium

    £30

  • Medium hair

    £35

  • Medium to long

    £40

  • Long hair

    £45

Mat removal

Extra mat removal, on top of the groom, adds from £5 up to £20, depending on how much there is and how long it takes to get out safely.

Complex matting – where the coat is heavily matted throughout – starts from £45. Every pelted coat is different, so I’ll confirm the exact price with you once I’ve seen them.

Bath, dry and groom

  • Short hair

    £40

  • Medium hair
    £50
  • Long hair
    £60
  • Kitten
    £20

Styled clips

  • Bib and belly
    £20
  • Teddy bear clip
    from £50
  • Lion clip
    from £70
Add a bath and dry to any clip for £10 to £20.

Kitten introduction

Introducing your kitten to grooming, from £10. A fun learning session to start your kitten’s salon experience.

Regular clients: bring your cat in for a groom at least every 8 weeks and you’ll receive a loyalty rate, a small reduction on your usual price. What that works out as depends on your cat’s coat and what they need, so I’ll settle that with you.

10% off any groom booked on a Monday, throughout September.

Not to be combined with any other discount.

Matted coats

Matting isn’t just untidy. It pulls at the skin, traps dirt and damp underneath, and reduces airflow to the coat, leaving the skin inflamed in a way you’d never see from the outside.

If your cat has matted, please don’t feel bad about it. It creeps up, particularly on long-haired cats and older cats who’ve stopped grooming themselves properly. Bring them in and I’ll tell you honestly what I can do. Sometimes, if the matting is tight to the skin, clipping it away is the kindest option.

I work to the principle of humanity before vanity. A clipped cat that’s comfortable beats a beautiful cat that’s in pain, every time.

The top looks like fur, the underside is what’s actually against your cat’s skin.

Mobile grooming, in your own home

Some cats travel badly, and some owners can’t manage the journey. I’ll bring my grooming table and everything else I need to you, and your cat never has to leave the house.

My insurance covers grooming in your home as well as at the salon.

Nail clips at home too, from £10.

Travel depends on where you are, so ask me and I’ll give you a price. I try to fit visits in the same area together where I can, which keeps it down.

Collection and delivery

If you can’t get to the salon and a home groom won’t suit either, I can collect your cat from home, groom them here at the salon, and bring them back to you afterwards. They travel in your own carrier, and there’s a little extra for the trip there and back since it’s a special run just for them. The cost depends on how far I’m coming, so ask me and I’ll give you a price, always agreed before you book.

Cat sitting

If you’re away, I can look in on your cat at home – one or two visits a day, morning and/or evening. Feeding, fresh water, litter trays sorted, and a bit of company so they’re not left on their own. Prices start at £10 a visit and go up depending on how many cats there are and how far I’m coming, so just ask and I’ll give you a price.

Flea grooms

Available on request – just mention it when you book.

About these prices

These are starting points, not fixed figures. What I charge depends on your cat’s coat, their size, and what condition they’ve arrived in. A long-haired cat who’s small and easy to work with might cost less than the list says. A cat who needs an hour of careful matt removal might cost more.

I’ll always tell you the price before I start, and if something changes partway through I’ll tell you then too. You’ll never get a surprise at the end.

Questions people ask

How long does a groom take?
It depends on the cat, but most grooms are done within the hour, and a de-shed usually quicker still, cats don’t tend to enjoy sitting much longer than that. Styled clips like teddy bear and lion cuts take a bit more time. Either way, I only ever groom one cat at a time, so nobody is rushed and nobody sits waiting in a carrier. If you’ve got two or three cats, do bring them together, whoever’s waiting has the run of the groom room while I work on the other.
What if my cat won’t settle?

If I know in advance that a cat tends to be nervous or anxious, it helps to book a longer session, so they’ve time to get used to me and the surroundings before we start. It often makes for a much calmer groom, so do let me know at the time of booking.

Some cats get very spicy, and that’s fine, it’s not a character flaw. I’ll always work slowly, give them breaks and try to get there. But if a cat is becoming genuinely distressed or unsafe to handle, I’ll stop. Their welfare comes before finishing the job.

If we have to stop partway, there is still a charge for the time and the appointment. I know that’s not what anyone wants to hear, but it’s the only way I can afford to give a difficult cat the time and patience they need rather than rushing them.

When you remove a mat, will there be a bald patch?
Sometimes, yes. If a mat has grown tight against the skin, there can be a slightly bare patch underneath once it’s clipped away. I blend the surrounding fur in as best I can, and I’ll always warn you beforehand if I think it’s likely, so it’s never a surprise.
How often should my cat be groomed?
Regular grooming suits any cat, whatever their coat. Every six to eight weeks is a good rhythm – it keeps the coat healthy and stops matting before it starts, which is far kinder than a big de-matt once or twice a year. Some cats come more often, some a little less; whatever works for you and your cat is fine.
Can I stay while my cat is groomed?
Of course. Some cats settle better with their person nearby, and you’re welcome to stay if you’d like to. Others are calmer without an audience – you know your cat best, and either way is absolutely fine.

I took my cat for grooming and ear cleaning today. He is a seniorcat. My cat looked great afterwards, and his ears were cleaned thoroughly. I was very happy with the service. Annabelle was gentle, patient, and caring throughout the appointment. She was friendly and professional, and I could tell she genuinely care about animals. I would definitely recommend her and will be bringing my cat back in the future.

I would recommend Annabelle without hesitation! I took my 11 month old Maine Coon boy for a first visit and admittedly was a bit nervous about how he was going to react to being groomed and de-matted - but straight away Annabelle made us feel at ease with her lovely calm demeanour. I was very pleased with the end results, she is patient and caring and I picked up one very relaxed and happy cat! 😺

Lovely friendly lady and calm professional environment. Annabel made sure my cat Betty was relaxed and showed love and care. My cat came out relaxed pampered and looking and smelling lovely. Before pic and the amount of hair that came off in her grooming sorry no after photo as she decided to go out for a wander when she got home. Our cat looks much more comfortable after a good brush and nail trim.

I have to say Annabelle, is lovely lady, she was so good with my cat Simba after he had glue on his one side and tail after he got a glue fly trap stuck to him, I got it off him, which he wasn't happy with me. I used vegetable oil but he was not having any of it. I phoned Annabelle and she said she would help if she could, and she did, shaving the glue fur off him, she was so good. calming him down and she texted to see how he was he was happy he could go outside again, a big thank you again, you are 5 stars and more from me.

I took my cat, Milo to Annabelle because he had matted fur on his back. He is quite a nervous boy and a little bit bitey. Annabelle was brilliant with him. She removed his matts and even gave him a good groom. He is now so soft and so much happier. Thank you Annabelle.

Took my cat Boo for her first groom and had such a great experience! Annabelle was kind, professional and very knowledgeable. Boo has some additional needs due to an old injury with her back legs, and Annabelle was so understanding and made sure she was comfortable throughout. ❤️ The whole process was quick, affordable and completely stress-free. I’ll definitely be returning — highly recommend! 🙌🏼

Brought our Mainecoon Wallace here and could not reccomend annabelle enough! Wallace was relaxed and totally stress free throughout the groom and after. Anabelle treated his stud tail along side a full groom and de shed and now he looks amazing and the grease is totally gone. Cant wait to bring him back for his next groom🐈
